As part of a project to decarbonize IT at a globally renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer, BITS GmbH has taken over IT project management and consulting. The aim of this project was to create a more sustainable IT landscape through the use of innovative technologies and efficient processes, thus contributing to climate protection.
In this project, the task was to migrate a hotel management software consisting of Java backend, relational database and Angular frontend from a native server environment to a Kubernetes cluster. At the same time, the Kubernetes cluster was designed, rebuilt and commissioned.
The goal of this project was to streamline the process of creating personalized recommendations for places and experiences through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by integrating features of GPT-4 (ChatGPT) into an enterprise web app via the OpenAI API.
BITS organized and coordinated the relocation of the IT landscape from one data center to a new data center for a globally active corporation in the automotive industry (data center migration). The project comprised around 150 applications and 600 servers, some of which had production-relevant effects, and was supported by us over a period of 3 years.
The task in this project was to migrate and modernize a 20+ year old in-house development for managing technical drawings due to end of support and security risks, and to create a new GUI.
In this project, an aging software application in the area of quality management, which was used, among other things, to process quality defects of purchased parts, was replaced by an in-house development of another subsidiary.
The goal of the SAP project was to reduce existing storage consumption and thereby save costs in the seven-digit range per year, both in the short term and in the long term.
Together with AIM-Apps in Medicine GmbH, AOK Bayern, DAK Gesundheit and Siemens Betriebskrankenkasse (SBK), under the direction of the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich (MRI), BITS GmbH participated in the PRISMA study as a consortium partner for the technical infrastructure.
Together with arex PHARMA GmbH, a specialist in the international trade and distribution of European pharmaceuticals, BITS GmbH has established the EU-wide trading platform Rxchange for pharmaceutical products as a strategic IT partner.
