Integration of GPT-4 (ChatGPT) via OpenAI API into an enterprise travel application for automated curated content generation.
myLike is a platform that enables travel, tourism, mobility and hospitality companies to create and share personalized digital travel guides with their customers in a white-label format. The goal of this project was to optimize the process of creating personal recommendations for places and experiences through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) by integrating features of GPT-4 (ChatGPT) into the application via the OpenAI API.
For this purpose, a “typing assistant” based on GPT-4 (ChatGPT) was developed to inspire and actively support companies in the creation of personalized content. This AI-based assistant has been fully integrated into the myLike personalized content creation process, shortening it by providing business-tailored and engaging text suggestions that can be further personalized.

Challenge
The myLike business web application already provided a solid platform to offer guests personalized recommendations for attractions, restaurants and activities near their current location. However, it was difficult for businesses to find the time and resources to customize the content, despite significant automation tools to help users create the tips. The challenge was to create an even more efficient way to identify new and interesting local services and activities and make them available to guests and customers in a timely and personalized way. At the same time, it had to be ensured that the content generated was truthful, up-to-date and not “hallucinated”.
Realization
To address the challenges and add content generation capabilities to the myLike business web application, the OpenAI API and GPT-4 were integrated.
To ensure the accuracy, currency and value of the content for guests, up-to-date information from various used and compared with curated sources. AI-powered content generation works with this reliable data to ensure the quality and relevance of recommendations and avoid “hallucinated” information. At the same time, new and interesting local services and activities were efficiently identified and included in a timely manner, so that guests and customers can always be provided with up-to-date offers. This enhancement has significantly improved the myLike business web application for hotels, mobility, travel and tourism companies , resulting in higher customer satisfaction, better customer retention and an increase in sales from bookings and cross-selling of local services and activities. The AI-powered solution has proven to be a valuable part of myLike’s offering, helping to provide customers and guests with unforgettable experiences and memories.
